Hello, 5th Hour! Welcome to your class Blog!
We will be using our blog for teacher-to-student communication as well as student-to-student communication. Our main purpose will be for you to learn about blogs and what they are used for. We will also use them to post assignments, do journal entries or simply have class discussions.
My goal will be to post an assignment each Monday and you will have until the Friday of that same week to respond. You may respond to the blog from class, home, the library or any other place that you might have access to the Internet.
Before we begin, there are ground rules that must be set and followed. Note that if these ground rules are not followed you may receive a zero on the assignment(s). Please follow the rules!
All posts must use school appropriate language. When you post, you must write in complete sentences using proper grammar and spelling. Do not use: u, r, ur, b4, cuz, etc.
When commenting on another student’s post, keep your comments non-personal. You can agree or disagree with a comment but refrain from sarcasm, judgment, and/or put-downs. You must state how you feel and why. You must comment on every article, topic, or question from me - it is an assignment - and your response should thoughtfully address each topic and question posted on the blog. You cannot simply write “I agree.”
Your first assignment will be to introduce yourself. Please provide some background information, discuss things you enjoy doing, your family, and your future plans. Then answer the following questions:
1. How much do you know about blogging?
2. Have you ever used or hosted a blog?
3. What might you use a blog for personally?
Hi, my name is Holly. In my family there are four people, my parents, my brother and I. I am fourteen years old and I was born on January 26th, 1996. Some things that I enjoy to do are horse-back riding and hanging out with my friends. In the future I have thought about going into pediatrics or working with animals. I do know that I want to go into a medical school.

Hello, Mrs. Lundquist! My name is Adam Blaida. I run Cross Country in the summer and fall, as well as Track in the spring. I have one sister named Amanda, and a brother-in-law named Ryan. I plan on being some sort of engineer in the future.

My name is antoinnette lynn banas . I am 14 years old . This year I am a freshman at Bedford High School . I love going to the mall & skating . I have lots of friends that mean the world to me . Hello, my name is Tayler LaFountain. I am fourteen and a freshman at Bedford high school. I am an only child, and I live with my Parents, and my pets. I have three cats, and one dog. After I graduate from college, I plan on joining the medical career. My favorite place to go is up north to our family cabin, and my favorite thing to do is ride my Dirt bike.

Hello, my name is Jenna Felkey. I am attending Bedford Senior High School as a ninth grader. I live with my mom, dad, my sister, Jordan, and my cat, Molly. I dance competitively at a pre-professional dance company named Elevate Dance Company. I compete at regional and national dance levels and get to travel many places around the country. I try my hardest in school, and get good grades.

Hi my name is Rose. I am the oldest in my family, well older then my brothers. I have two younger brothers, one is Jack and one is Zane. Jack is 11 and Zane is 5 almost 6. I am 14, I always wanted to go to Japan, and when I get older I want to be a Marine Biologist. Some things I like to do are drawing, writing in my journal, going on the computer, and playing outside with my friends. My favorite season is late spring. I like strawberries and ice cream. My birthday is August 30th, 1996. I have diabetes and I take it well. I also don’t have a middle name, and that is my life story.

Hello! My name is Vanessa Geiger. I am the oldest child of three in my family. I have a twelve year old sister, and a nine year old brother. My favorite sports are track, cross country, and dance. On the weekends during football season, I enjoy going the the University of Michigan football games. When I have spare time, I like to read, bake (and then eat what I bake….especially if it’s cheesecake!), and spend time with my family and friends. My future plans include graduating from the University of Michigan’s medical school with a degree in pediatrics, and then travelling to third-world countries to help children who are less fortunate get the medical attention they need.

I have 2 siblings, a brother that is 7 and goes to school at Temperance Road Elementary. I also have a sister that is 11 and goes to school at Temperance Road Elementary. I attend Church regularly at Bedford Christian Community. I am involved in there youth group and sing on the worship team. I also attend a Wednesday night Bible Study.

Hi I am Sarilyn Guzman; I’m the girl in the front with the sunglasses. I am in love (in a friend way) with Lady GaGa because she is just amazing! Hello my name is Amanda Isom . I’m sixteen years of age. I’m a Junior at Bedford Senior High School. I recently transferred here from Start High School, in which I attended for my first two years of high school. I want to a marine biologist after I graduate high school. If I had a choice in college, I would like to go to Florida University.

Hello my name is Danielle Hafner, I am a freshman at Bedford High school. I really LOVE to play softball… it is my passion! I am a catcher, and I also play second base, I played on the 7th and 8th grade teams… and I am hoping that I will be playing on one of the high school teams! I have one older brother, who is a junior and is attending Bedford High school also. I love to go to my lake, I know how to knee board and water ski, but tubing is the funniest of all!

2.Yes, I have used a blog once before, for a foods class. We used it to post recipes to share with the class.
3.For me personally I wouldn’t use the blog for my personal life, but for some other people they might use it. They could use it to communicate with friends, discuss political ideas with people, or to just meet new people.
Hello! My name is MacKenzie Andrews. I am from a family of nine; I have five little brothers and one little sister. Ever since I was a young girl I have played many sports, when I was in third grade I started playing volleyball and basketball and I love them today as much as I did when I started! One thing that I have always enjoyed was being involved in as many church activities as possible. I have been able to go on missions trips, help in the community and best off all be in a youth group, surrounded by great people. I also enjoy hanging out with all of my friends and family.

Hi, my name is Destiny Clements. I am currently thirteen years old, and i was born on October 28th, 1996. My family consists of four people including my mom, Michelle, my dad, Jeff, my sister, Leah, and myself. My favorite activity is dancing and cheerleading. I started dancing at the age of two and have been preforming ever since. I recently traveled to Australia for two weeks, and will be going to Itally in June of next year. I am a ninth grader attending Bedford High School, and after high school, I would like to become a Lawyer.

Volleyball and golf are two of my favorite sports, and I am currently on a team for both. In my free time, I love to draw objects around me and have taken several art classes to improve my artistic ability.
